I am extremely disappointed with our experience at the YMCA. Years ago, my son participated in swimming lessons, and during one class the instructor was not paying adequate attention. It was a very frightening experience, and my son nearly drowned. We hoped that was an isolated incident. Unfortunately, our experience with the Summer Camp has been just as upsetting. On the very first day, the camp leader—someone who is supposed to create a safe, welcoming, and encouraging environment—made both of my children feel unsafe. When my husband picked them up, they were visibly shaken, crying, and begging not to go back. They are 10 and 13 years old, and seeing them so frightened was heartbreaking. What disappoints me the most is that the YMCA has always been a place where our family enjoyed spending time. Now, because of this experience, my children don't want to return. I do want to recognize Megan, who was compassionate, listened to our concerns, and sincerely apologized. I appreciate the way she handled the situation. However, due to the YMCA's policies, we were not able to learn the name of the staff member involved, which leaves us feeling that there is little accountability. I ho

Came to the outdoor pool for the first time and was a little disappointed. Apparently the other photos online are outdated, so there’s only one small slide and it wasn’t even open. It’s definitely geared more for smaller kiddos with a fabulous splash pad and mini water park. Nice size pool though.

We were YMCA members from 2020 until recently, when we moved and canceled our membership. Unfortunately, what should have been a simple process turned into one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've had. Even after our membership was canceled, the YMCA continued charging us for the 24-hour access add-on. There is no option in the member portal to remove this charge, so I had no choice but to call member services. It took four separate phone calls, each involving approximately 30 minutes on hold, before I was finally able to reach someone. The representative acknowledged the issue and canceled the add-on, but refused to refund the charges that had been incorrectly billed after the membership itself had already been canceled. Even more frustrating, she would not handle the matter internally and instead tried to pass the burden back to me by directing me to make additional phone calls. When I explained that the YMCA should be responsible for correcting its own billing mistake, the response was essentially, "Sorry," and the conversation was ended. Mistakes happen. What matters is how an organization responds when they occur. I expected far better from an organizat

I’ve had a generally positive experience at the Fishers YMCA. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and offers a welcoming environment. The staff has been friendly, and I appreciate the variety of amenities available, including the workout areas and overall atmosphere—it’s a place that truly promotes health and community. However, I did experience an unfortunate incident during one of my visits. After checking in and completing a short workout, I returned to my locker and found that my belongings had been disturbed, and my wallet and chaplain’s badge were missing. (the items were locked with a very small combination lock) I immediately reported the situation to front office. While I understand that situations like this can happen anywhere, I would encourage members to be mindful of securing their belongings and for the facility to continue reinforcing safety measures in locker areas. Customer Service is terable. Called multiple times to get help with my particular issue that I was having. No one called back after calling 20 times. Overall, I still value the YMCA and what it represents, and I hope this feedback helps improve awareness and security for all members.

YMCA has been a wonderful place for our daughters for the past five years, ever since they were babies. The staff feel like family, always kind and caring. Our girls especially love the outdoor water area and have so much fun there. The facilities are always clean, safe, and welcoming. We highly recommend YMCA for families! 2022/2026
